Combining Holsteiner and Selle Français gives this horse style and strength. A compact model with good reflexes and powerful forward movement.  His sire, Carthago, has proved a high achiever as a sport horse and a breeding stallion. First with Bo Kristoffersen and as from 1996 with Jos Lansink, he succeeded at almost all important horse shows. Jos Lansink competed him at the Atlanta and Sydney Olympics and Carthago won La Baule and Hamburg grand prixs. Carthago is one of the best show jumper sires of his generation and one of Capitol’s best sons.

Old Chap Tame comes from one of France’s best motherlines – he’s a direct descendant of Gemini, who produced Narcos II, Quat’Sous, and 3 other approved stallion sons.  Gemini’s daughter Scala produced the approved stallion French Cancan, and her daughter Tamerville has produced the exciting young approved stallion Tibet Tame.  Tamerville is a full sister to Quat’Sous, and is Old Chap’s great-granddam.

Old Chap’s sport career has been exceptional.  Carefully produced, he won and was placed in several national Grand Prix in 2010.  In 2011 he won the Grand Prix in Auvers and was 3rd in the 4* GP in Lisbon.  2012 saw him on the French Nations Cup team, contributing to their win in Aachen and 2nd place in Hickstead.
