In November 2005, Clearway had a son – Clarimo – licensed for breeding right from his first crop presented at Neumünster. Stamped by his TB anchestors, Clarimo demonstrated his outstanding canter and his impressive free jumping ability at his fi rst appearances. His jumping ability is certainly not due to luck, seeing that he blends the outstanding performance genes of the sires Capitol I and Caletto II with those of the mares Wisma and Wodka, which have both produced several outstanding jumpers in their broodmare career.
As yet, Wodka by Lord has produced the licensed sons Clearway, Conway I and II and Arturo. Clarimo’s sire Clearway by Capitol I was a successful international show jumper with Lars Bak Andersen, placing for example at the Neumünster and Braunschweig Grand Prixs. Wodka’s good genetic constitution is also brought out by her daughters Chika’s Way (by Caretino), with many international achievements fi rst under Janne Friederike Meyer and later Katrin Eckermann, and Carassina (by Concerto II), winner of the German Jumping Derby in 2009 under Thomas Kleis. Clarimos dam, Wisma, has made breed history through her licensed sons Cassini I and II. Cassini I in particular is one of the most in-demand sires in the Holsteiner breeding programme. Also his younger brother has produced many successful sport horses. One Cassini II son caused quite a splash: Camargue was licensed for breeding in 2008 and sold to Denmark at 230.000 euros. Wisma has greatly influenced the breed through her daughters, as well: Donata produced the licensed stallion Lovari by Lasino.
During his first competition season with Janne Friederike Meyer Clarimo stood out as a serial winner of young jumper classes at L and M level. He became 6-year-old show jumping state champion and qualified for the Bundeschampionat. At 7-year-old, he was already shown with great promise, placing to S level in international youngster tours in Verden and Neumünster. In 2012 he placed highly in jumper classes to S** level. Since the end of 2012, Rolf-Göran Bengtsson has got the ride on him. Under his new rider, Clarimo Ask finished 3rd in the Redefin Grand Prix, placed highly at international shows like for example London or Lausanne and has repeatedly been a successful member of the Swedish nations cup team.
His offspring stand out for their excellent jumping ability, as demonstrated by his licensed son Crunch which finished second in the Elmshorn Schleswig-Holstein 6-year-old jumper championships. Throughout Germany, as much as 8 Clarimo sons have been licensed for breeding and he has also produced a number of promising young talents and top auction lots over the years. His daughter Creation was selected for the Neumünster autumn auction where she demonstrated impressive jumping ability and was sold to Mexico for 70.000 euros. The top-selling lot of the 2013
elite riding horse auction, was another Clarimo daughter, Choice.
