Exceptional pedigree and talent. Canturo is the the last approved son of the unforgettable, high-profiled show jumping producer CANTUS and is from the internationally desired line 162. Canturo combines the big names of the Holstein breeding : his dam’s sire is the outstanding CALANDO I, German Champion in 1984, LANDEGO and the thoroughbreds PANNIER xx and MANOMETER xx.
As a five- and six-year old Canturo competed in the Bundeschampionate finals (German Young Horse Championships). Aged seven he reached the finals at the world championship for young horses in Zangersheide. At eight, he won and placed at CSI Wien, in Rome, La Baule and the Swedish Derby of Falsterbo. At nine, Canturo won in Spruce Meadows and was nominated for the Olympic Games. In 2004, among his first crop, he presented the winning sire Canto for the Holstein stallion licensing. In 2005, Canturo won, among others, the Aachen „Prix of Europe“. His son Canturano I proves his fathers’ hereditary strength by clearly winning the 70-day test in Adelheidsdorf.
Canturo´s integrated breeding value is established at 144 points and he already has 13 approved sons and 25 offspring competing at advanced level.
Cian O’Connor’s phenomenal jumping talent, Good Luck, is sired by Canturo – see video below. Canturano, winner of his performance and 2008 winner of the KWPN Stallion Competition, is also a licensed son by Canturo who is now also available through Euro Stallions.
